P.L. Travers, the author that brought us the Mary Poppins series, reluctantly travels to Los Angeles to meet Walt Disney to discuss making a movie about her books.
This movie was so much fun, I didn’t want it to end. It was charming, sad, and funny (naturally it really made me want to watch Mary Poppins). Emma Thompson is such a great actress, and Tom Hanks was as delightful as ever. I’m really surprised that this wasn’t nominated for more Academy Awards. I give it a 9 out of 10.
